Republic Day Celebrations at Dredging Corporation
Visakhapatnam,
January 26: Capt.D.K.Mohanthy,Chairman
and Managing Director, Dredging Corporation of India Ltd unfurled the National Flag at the Corporate
office, Dredge House, Port Area, Visakhapatnam. CMD delivered Republic Day
message and conveyed the Republic Day greetings to all the employees and their
families.
On the auspicious occasion, CMD stated that our country is the
largest democratic republic in the world. He expressed gratitude to all the
freedom fighters who have helped the Country achieve freedom and emphasized the
need for all strive with hard work dedications to fulfill their dream.
CMD stated that of the three Trailer Suction Hopper
Dredger of 5500 Cu.M capacity for which orders have been placed, two dredgers
have already joined fleet in December 2012
and July 2013. The third dredger has been delivered by IHC at
Netherlands on 23rd January 2014 and will join fleet in about a
months time. He congratulated all the
concerned for successful completion of the project. He stated that DCI proposes
to acquire another TSHD of 9000 cu.mtr capacity with part financing by Ports
after obtaining necessary approvals. An
MOU in this regard will be signed shortly with
Paradip Port. He stated that the
financial results and operations are encouraging, but cautioned that it is not
the time be complacent and stated that it is very much necessary to improve monitoring of projects and maintain
strict financial discipline considering
the to loan repayment obligations. He
stated that DCI would continue with its expansion program for purchasing new
dredgers so as to compete effectively.
He thanked the
employees for their continued support and called upon one and all to put in more
efforts to see that the Company improves its performance and gives encouraging
returns to all the stakeholders in the years to come.

S.Vasudevarao, Chief Vigilance Officer other Head of Departments, employees and
