Visakhapatnam, April 14: The 123rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bheemrao
Ramji Ambedkar was celebrated at Dredging Corporation of India
Limited (DCIL), Visakhapatnam here on Monday(14th April 2014).
Capt.D.K.Mohanty,CMD, DCIL inaugurating the programme by
lighting the lamp and garlanding the photograph of Dr.Ambedkar.
In his address Capt.D.K.Mohanty,CMD highlighted the various
works done by Dr.Ambedkar and role played by him as a great social reformer. He
stated that one and all should emulate from self less ideology and strive for
the progress of the Country devoid of any boundaries of caste, creed or favour.
Commodore. P.Jayapal, Director (Operation and Technical) and
Shri S.Vasudeva Rao, Chief Vigilance Officer addressed the gathering. The
program was well attended by employees and families of DCI.
Prizes were distributed by CMD and directors to the winners
of various competitions organized by DCI SC&ST Employees Welfare
Association.
Shri P.Venkatratnam, General Secretary, DCI SC & ST
Welfare Association welcomed the gathering. Shri B.Hanuma Naik, President of
the Association conducted the proceedings and Shri R.Manoj Kumar, Joint
Secretary proposed vote of thanks.
